There was the elevation of the incompetents, the mangling of language, the persecution of intellectuals, the manipulation of the masses through the creation of a common enemy, the demonization of political opponents through spin. Even the parallels between the use of the word “wicked” and the word “evil.” It’s all there! Or am I the only one who sees it?
